Individual winners were presented their certificates and medals each day but the overall winners were announced at the Closing Ceremony, this is the list of those winners;

Most Outstanding Artist – Presented to the individual who scores the highest aggregate number of points in 2 of the classes between 5 & 7.

The competition is over for 2015 but we still have one more thing to do; that is to announce the winners of the Fonterra Restaurant of Champions.

This will be revealed during the closing ceremony being held tomorrow night.

Competition update…

A new first for WA Oceanafest, Three weeks before the entries to the salon close and we have received fifty entries.

Never have we had them so early. amazingly they are all from overseas; Thailand, Turkey Kuwait and South Korea individual entries.

Adding these entries with the teams from Thailand, Hong Kong and New Zealand this is shaping up to be a challenging international arena for the culinary arts.

New Category for 2015 – DILMAH AUSTRALIA Real High Tea

The organisers of WA Oceanafest are proud to announce a new category in the 2015 event.

In conjunction with Dilmah Australia PTY Ltd a competition to find the best high tea will be added to the event.

Competitors will be required within 45 minutes to produce and serve to the three judges a variety of three teas from the Dilmah range accompanied by two portions of three varieties of food items suitable for a high tea, these may be sweet or savoury.

Food items may be pre prepared.

This competition is open to allcomers and entrants will receive a complimentary Dilmah tea sample pack

Entry fee of $20 applies to this category.

New Beginnings in 2015

Finally the decision has been made, after losing our major sponsor MLA and with Fine Foods cancelling their Perth show, the ACF WA has decided to go it alone with

WA OCEANAFEST.

The 2015 event will now take place in the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre on the 5th to the 7th July 2015.  The opening ceremony will take place on the 4th July with the closing presentation ceremony on the 8th July.

We will have our own trade show attached to display the best of WA.

The Rule Book for competition is being worked on as we speak and will be available shortly.
